Introduction

Directorate Electrical Safety, Department of Energy, U.P. Govt. whose head office is located in Vibhuti Khand-2, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. There are 04 discom offices, 14 regional offices and 50 zonal offices in the state. The details of organization of the directorate are given in appendix 1.1.

Providing electrical contractor license, supervisor certificate and wireman permit renewal under rule-45 of IER- 1956. (Regulation-29)
Conducting examinations for providing electrical supervisor certificate and wireman permit.
Checking of electricity duty records.
Inspection / Testing of temporary electrical installations of fair / exhibition and related to VVIP / VVIP'S visit.
